Concert by “Ensemble Tagus”: Medieval and Renaissance Music

About half a dozen Medieval and Renaissance songs will be performed by the Ensemble Tagus at the Carmo Archaeological Museum during a concert open to the public. The event, which will take place on March 3 at 7pm, will be one of the rare opportunities to listen to this type of music, in this case played by musicians and historians of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the NOVA University of Lisbon (NOVA FCSH).
The interpretation of the Ensemble Tagus comes from the conference “Desenhar a Eternidade”, the first of a series of meetings on Medieval Iberia organized by the Institute of Medieval Studies (IEM), the Center for Sociology and Musical Aesthetic Studies (CESEM), the NOVA FCSH, and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
