Biography

Keila Coelho Babosa was born in Imperatriz – Maranhão (Brazil) in 1973. She graduated in Pedagogy in 2004 from the Santa Terezinha College in the same city. In 2011 she obtained a Master’s degree in Educational Sciences from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal). In 2015 she obtained a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Seville (Spain). After 10 years of teaching in primary and secondary schools, in 2018 he began his university teaching experience at Coelho Neto College in the city of Imperatriz (Brazil), which lasted until 2022. In 2023 she began her teaching experience as an Interim Professor in the area of Galician and Portuguese Philology in the Department of Integrated Philology at the University of Seville. She is the author of several works in which her main lines of research are Portuguese language teaching techniques, applied linguistics and literature written in Portuguese. These include the book A ludicidade no ensino de Português: estudo de caso em Brasil e Portugal (Pontes editora, 2023), as well as her participation in collective works and articles published in scientific journals, such as ‘El papel de las mujeres en la educación infantil en Brasil y en Portugal: Estrategias lúdicas y prácticas pedagógicas’. She has also participated as a speaker at various congresses such as CIDICO V (Universidad Almería-Universidad Autónoma de Chile), and national ones, such as Innovarus (Universidad de Sevilla). She is currently a researcher in the Italianistica Research Group at the University of Seville.
