Within scope of CESEM’s “Christian Corner of the East in Portugal” project, on July 11, 2018, at 7 pm, Byzantine Choral Vespers will be celebrated by Protopresbyter Ivan Moody of the Greek Church of the Patriarchate Constantinople (Parish of São João Russo ,Estoril), members of the parish choir and the Academic Choir Romanos Melodos, under Svetlana Poliakova artistic direction.

This initiative involves scientific research in the Russian and Balkan monodic and polyphonic repertoires, the study of its adaptation in Portuguese soil, its choral interpretation and the compositional creation of a new repertoire (arrangements by Ivan Moody, Svetlana Poliakova, António Baptista).
